Book Review: F In Exams

I’m sure everyone has seen the types of questions that make up this book, whether in a book, in the paper or on the news. I had wanted to get this book for quite a while but couldn’t justify paying even a couple of quid for a book that I would finish reading within hours that doesn’t even have a story to it, so when I saw it on Amazon Kindle store for 99p earlier in the month, I bought it straight away.

Review: Simple Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser

Before buying this, I had never used a toner before, nor did I truly know what one was. After quickly Googling it, I can tell you that a toner’s purpose is to cleanse the skin, shrink the appearance of pores and restore the skin’s pH. I suffer quite a bit from large pores and I don’t think it’s an attractive look so I’m constantly on the lookout for a that one product that will make my skin look flawless without wearing any make-up. When I saw this in Sainsbury’s a few months ago, I decided to spend the £4.85 and get this Simple Kind to Skin Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser.

Review: Fitbit Flex

Back in August, my boyfriend received some Love to Shop vouchers from his workplace as a "thank you and congrats on hitting your sales target". Since we were trying to be healthy, we had been looking at heart rate monitors and activity trackers so, being the lovely gem that he is, he bought both of us a Fitbit each.

Planning My Life

After taking a fortnight’s break from favourites during December to focus on Christmas and Blogmas posts, it is time to get back into the swing of things with my fourth instalment of Wednesday Favourites so I would like to share with you my recent favourite: my Life Book Diary.

Review: Garnier Fresh Moisturising Pot

Moisturising is something that I have to do day and night. I do it in the morning before I apply my make-up and in the evening after I have cleansed my face. Ironically, I find that if I don’t apply moisturiser, my face goes quite greasy and oily, which is an awful feeling. Since I used to suffer with awfully oily skin when I was younger, I have to moisturise daily to prevent this from happening again! The type, brand or consistency never really used to bother me but since I have found the Garnier Fresh Moisturising Pot, I have changed my standards!

Book Review: Abducted

A couple of days, ago, I finished reading the book Abducted by T. R. Ragan after 9 days of reading and I have to say that generally I quite liked the novel so want to share with you a review of the book.

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

I’ve been wanting to try out some items in the Bourjois range for so long so when I went to Boots for an Advantage Card event the other week, I bit the bullet and picked up their Healthy Mix Serum Foundation after hearing a lot of bloggers rave about it.

I picked it up in the lightest shade they had, shade 51 Vanille Clair. I swatched it out on my hand and it blended in perfectly, which I was so grateful for since I’m quite pale. I have used it quite a few times since purchasing it, combining it with different concealers, powders and primers and am ready to give a review.

Film Review: Ouija

Last Monday, my boyfriend and I had been planning on going to the German Market in Birmingham, however at the last moment we decided against it and chose to go to the cinema instead. We liked the look of two of the films showing: The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part I and Ouija. While I am a fan of the Hunger Games (I have read all of the books and own the first two films on DVD/Blu-ray), I was a little disappointed at Catching Fire and fancied watching a good horror so we chose to go and see Ouija instead.

Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

No7 had always been one of the more expensive skincare and make-up brands that I would occasionally splash out on to treat myself. Of course, that was before I was introduced to the world of Mac and Clinique and true high-end beauty products. However, I have always had a special place in my heart for No7 as it was one of the first brands  of make-up that I bought.
You might remember back in July when I posted in a Boots Beauty Haul that I had bought the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush. I used it when I first bought it but then stopped using it for about two months when I moved house (it was packed away in one of the boxes somewhere!). However, recently I have been using it again to ensure my face is completely clean after I have removed all of my make-up so I thought it was time to give you lovely readers a little review.

Book Review: The Maze Runner

So I kind of got a bit bored of reading A Storm of Swords and started reading The Maze Runner... Oops? Anyway, after 12 days of reading the book, I have finished it and have a little review for you guys.

Review: Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream

Body Shop Almond hand cream edited 2
If you follow my blog, you will know that I recently had a little visit to the Body Shop, where I bought some make-up and signed up for their loyalty card, receiving a hand cream as a present (RRP £5).
I chose the Almond Hand & Nail Cream; I was tempted to go for the Rose cream but they didn’t have it for me to test. They also had Hemp and Absinthe available as the joining gift, but I thought the Almond one sounded the nicest.

Review: L'Oreal Sublime Mousse

Two weeks ago, I bit the bullet and picked up a box dye from Boots. It wasn’t the first time I have dyed my hair, but it was a much redder colour than I have ever gone before and I was doing it myself
Since I was doing it myself, I knew I wanted either a mousse or a mask (I didn’t trust myself to use a bottle!) so I ended up getting the L’Oreal Sublime Mousse dye in the shade 565 Hot Brown (£6.99).

Book Review: Eeny Meeny

After taking so long to read a Clash of Kings a few months ago, I decided I wanted to have a break from big books and read a few easier, smaller books. I read Sleeping Arrangements and decided to follow it up with a bit of a more mature, weighty book so I picked up Eeny Meeny by M.J. Arlidge. The blurb talks about how pairs of victims are abducted, imprisoned and then forced to sacrifice either their life or their conscience. Since I love horror films and mysteries, I knew this book would be a great read for me and as it happens, it only took me three days to finish reading so I thought I would share my opinions on the book.

Review: Body Shop Cleansing Oil

In my Body Shop/Boots Haul back at the end of August, I noted that I had bought the Body Shop Silky Cleansing Oil. I have had it for a while now and have used it quite a few times so I feel like I can finally give a suitable review for all of my lovely followers.

Makeup Review: L'Oreal Paris True Match Minerals Foundation

I bought the L’Oreal Paris True Match Minerals Foundation a few months ago. Before I bought this, I was very much a liquid foundation girl as I felt like it gave me much better coverage. After all, the only other coloured powder I had truly used was the Maybelline Fit Me powder, which is a fairly light powder that doesn’t add much coverage.
After using this product, I am quite torn between liquid and powder foundations and I really want to try out more powders now.

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

Maybelline 2
I had heard a lot of hype surrounding the Maybelline Baby Lips products so when I went into Boots earlier in the year and saw they were on a Buy One Get One Half Price offer, I knew I had to get some immediately. I decided to buy the Hydrate lip balm to see if it could cure my dry lips and also the Pink Punch one as I loved the idea of a tinted lip balm. I have always wanted to wear pink lipstick but I am too afraid of buying some and wearing the solid, noticeable colour - I thought this colouring would be a bit more subtle.
I was super excited to try them both out and loved how easily they glided onto my lips, but the results were actually incredibly disappointing.
